What is Valet Trash Service?

Valet trash is a premium resident amenity designed for convenience and cleanliness. Securely tied trash bags are collected directly from apartment doorsteps and transported to the onsite dumpster or compactor.

Service Schedule & Guidelines

  • Pickup Days: Sunday through Thursday, between 8:00 – 10:00 PM. (additional option for Sunday through Friday)
  • Resident Responsibility: Trash must be bagged and securely tied before placement.
  • Set-Out Time: Valet trash containers must be placed outside between 6:00 – 8:00 PM for collection.
  • Collection Process: Bagged waste is handled using leak-proof satchels or tilt carts to maintain cleanliness.
  • Safe & Efficient Disposal: All collected trash is promptly transported to the designated onsite container.

Valet Trash Pickup Requirements

To ensure efficient and sanitary waste collection, residents must follow these guidelines for valet trash service:

  • Bag Limit & Weight: Residents may place up to two (2) securely tied trash bags, each weighing 25 lbs or less, in the WasteFree Solution-provided trash bin outside their door.
  • Set-Out Time: Trash must be placed outside between 6:00 – 8:00 PM for pickup.
  • Bag Condition: Trash bags must be tied securely, free from rips, tears, or leaks before being deposited into the bin.
  • Cardboard Disposal: Cardboard boxes must be disassembled, folded, and placed neatly behind the trash bin for collection.
  • Pet Waste & Hazardous Items: All pet waste must be double-bagged—loose pet waste bags will not be collected. Hazardous materials, including broken glass shards or seeping liquids, must also be securely double-baggedbefore disposal.

Service Accountability & Non-Collection Notices

If valet trash service is not provided for a unit, a posted notice will be placed on the resident’s door. The notice will include the unit number, date, and reason for non-collection.

Common reasons for service non-completion include:

  • Missed Pickup Deadline – Trash was set out after 8:00 PM.
  • Excessive Trash – More than two (2) bags were placed outside (only two bags per unit are collected nightly).
  • Overweight Bags – Bags exceeding the 25 lb weight limit will not be removed.
  • Improper Bagging – Bags that are untied, overflowing, ripped, or leaking will not be collected.
  • Non-Compliant Waste – Items such as hazardous materials, improperly bagged pet waste, broken glass, or liquids were not securely double-bagged.
  • Unbroken Cardboard Boxes – Boxes were not flattened and folded for easy pickup.
